<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a roof laying structure for waste disposal site, adaptable also to a disposal site of huge span of 100-200 m with a deformed plane shape, low in laying cost and preventing inflow of rainwater and diffusion of toxic substance into the atmosphere. <P>SOLUTION: A plurality of posts 2a, 2b are erected around a waste disposal area, and lateral and vertical main cables 3, 4 supporting only tensile force are stretched above the waste disposal area 1 from the posts 2a to the posts 2a in the opposed positions. The lateral and vertical main cables 3, 4 are connected to each other in the intersecting positions while supporting a roof material 5 formed of a membrane body.
