PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce consumption of the electric energy used in an air conditioner without increasing a degree of discomfort in a room. SOLUTION: This control system of the air conditioner used together with an auxiliary cooling device such as a water jetting device for jetting water to a condenser of the air conditioner to reduce the electric energy consumption in the air conditioner, comprises a first operation detection means for detecting an operating condition of the auxiliary cooling device, and a control means for controlling stopping of the operation of a compressor stopping means for stopping the compressor of the the air conditioner for a specific time (a), after it receives an operation signal of the auxiliary cooling device from the first operation detection means.
