PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a rubber composition excellent in on-ice and -snow performance and durability under heat-buildup and to provide a studless tire excellent in on-ice and -snow performance and durability under heat-buildup using the rubber composition as a tread rubber. SOLUTION: The rubber composition is obtained by compounding a rubber component with a foaming agent, its expansion ratio after vulcanization is 5-30%, and its dynamic elastic modulus is 30 MPa or below at 0°C and 7 MPa or above at 60°C, respectively. The studless tire uses this rubber composition as the tread rubber. The rubber composition desirably has a tanδof 0.25 or below at 60°C. COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO&NCIPI |
