<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a process for easily manufacturing lightweight aggregate that has low water absorption and is excellent in strength using coal ash and sewage sludge incineration ash as raw materials and specifically, to provide a method for stably manufacturing lightweight aggregate having 10% or less of water absorption, a porous structure of the inner tissue and 1.5 or less of a specific gravity. <P>SOLUTION: The lightweight aggregate is obtained by conducting firing and foaming of the material having a certain particular proportion of the coal ash added to the sewage sludge incineration ash. That is, the method for manufacturing the lightweight aggregate is characterized by firing a mixture of the coal ash and the sewage sludge incineration ash in which the ratio of the sewage sludge incineration ash is 2-30 mass% based on the total mass. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO&NCIPI</p> |
