<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an optical fiber array substrate in which positioning is conducted in a highly precise manner, to provide an optical communication part using the substrate and to provide a manufacturing method of the substrate and the part. <P>SOLUTION: An optical fiber array substrate 10 is provided with a first through-hole 11 to which an optical fiber 14 is inserted and a second through-hole 12 which is provided adjacent to the through-hole 11 and adds elasticity to a wall surface 13 of the through-hole 11 so as to hold the fiber 14.
