<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a print control system which allows a desired printer to perform a print operation in a desired manner. <P>SOLUTION: In the print control system, a client comprises a virtual printer driver which converts print data from an application program 22 into a metafile, stores it therein, and requests printing of the print data converted into the metafile and stored therein, an interception agent 23 which intercepts a print instruction including the print data from the application program and drives the virtual printer driver, and a system control part 21 which, in response to the print request from the virtual printer driver to a server, transmits print information including information on the relevant client, requests transmission of intrinsic information and current state information of each of a plurality of printers from the server, receives the intrinsic information and current state information of the individual printers received together with print license information, and displays the information in accordance with an already-set format. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI</p> |
