<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To determine an optimum pass schedule in a pass schedule determination method in a tandem rolling mill, and the tandem rolling mill to which the determination method can be applied. <P>SOLUTION: In the pass schedule determination method in a tandem rolling mill 1, an evaluation function including a control quantity to be determined by a pass schedule, a rolling state quantity to indicate the rolling state to be inevitably determined when applying the control quantity to a rolling stand, and a record value based on the past data of the control quantity and the rolling state quantity is set.
