SYSTEM AND METHOD FOR SELECTING IP MULTICAST AUTHENTICATION SERVER, PROGRAM THEREOF, AND RECORDING MEDIUM

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To more flexibly select an authentication server when a user requests multicast traffic reception and an edge router having received the request sends authentication request to an authentication server, and to apply to the expansion of service and a business structure.

SOLUTION: There are provided a user terminal 2; 1-M IP multicast traffic distribution servers 3, an edge router 1 (especially, an edge router for accommodating a user 2 is set to be a user accommodation edge router.); and 1-N authentication servers 5. Then, the edge router 1 in a network 4 retains an authentication server selection table 11 in addition to a function that a conventional edge router retains. And, the authentication server selection table 11 retained by each edge router 1 may not be the same.
