[Also in Division C3] A monomeric ester of α-cyanoacrylic acid is sterilized by incorporating therein sulphur dioxide in an amount of at least 80 parts per million, based on the weight of the said monomer followed by heating the mixture, suitably above 60‹ C. The products are stated to be useful as surgical adhesives. |
