<p>1425035 Orthopaedic structure TORONTO GOVERNING COUNCIL UNIVERSITY OF 21 March 1973 [22 March 1972] 13333/72 Heading C1H [Also in Divisions A5 and D1] An orthopaedic structure, e.g. a medical cast comprises gypsum reinforced with absorbent fibres (defined) and reinforcing fibres which comprise glass yarn coated with thermoplastic organic polymer. The thermoplastic coating may be P.V.C., polyethylene, polypropylene or nylon. The absorbent fibres are cotton, wool, hemp, abaca, silk, sisal, jute, flax, cellulose, viscose rayon, cuprammonium rayon, cellulose acetate, nylon 11 or 66, polyacrylo nitrile, P.V.A. or absorbent polyesters or polyacrylics. The two types of fibres are preferably precombined by weaving into a mesh, cloth or bandage.</p> |
