1454428 Mounting roller and ring press die SIMON BARRON Ltd 30 Sept 1975 [9 Nov 1974] 48585/74 Heading B5A An extruder for cattle food material, comprises an annular die having radially directed bores 11 through which the material is extruded, upon rotation of the die about a plurality, e.g. two, of rollers 14 which are each freely rotatable about a stationary shaft 15 carried by a stationary frame 13, the extruded material being cut into pellets by a knife at the downstream face of the die. For its rotation, the die is clamped to a driving rim to facilitate its release for cleaning, at interengaging male and female conical surfaces 16, 17, respectively provided on the die and rim, or vice versa, and which are secured together by a plurality, e.g. three, of circumferentially spaced screws which engage in blind bores 19 in the die. A sealing ring 21 is disposed between the die and rim.
