Earthing electrode with metallic insertion section and with an earth conductor. The end of the conductor is connected to the end of the section of the earthing electrode that is driven into the ground. The section that is driven into the ground consists of a cylindrical body (1) with a solid cone-shaped point (2). The cylindrical wall of the driven in portion has a cylindrical bush (4) running parallel to its axis. The earthing conductor (9) passes through an entry (5) in the bush and forms a tight fit. The section of the bush close to the transition point with the earthing electrode is chamfered at an angle which is practically equal to the slope (7) of the cone-shaped point. The cut-off section of the bush is practically flush with the earthing electrode. The bush is welded onto the earthing electrode.
