Phosphate-free detergent - contg. nonionic surfactant having different degrees of ethoxylation and sodium aluminium silicate builder

Phosphate-free detergent contains by wt., (a) 5.5-25 (7-18) % surfactant (b) 25-92.5 (30-75)% builder and (c) 2-65 (5-60)% auxiliary agents and filler. Surfactant component (a) consists of (a 1)1 pt. wt. mixt. of nonionic surfactants. and (a 2)0-1 pts. wt. anionic sulphonate- or sulphate-types surfactants. Mixts. (a 1) consists of ethoxylated alcohols, alkylphenols, fatty acids, fatty acid amides, fatty amines and alkane sulphonamides contg. 10-20C in aliphatic gp. and having different degrees of ethoxylation. Turbidity point of these surfactants differs by >=30 degrees C. Wt. ratio lower: higher ethoxylated cpds. in mixt. is 1:5 to 3:1. Builder (b) consists of (b 1) 1 pt. wt. water-insoluble, finely-divided, crystalline Na Al silicate of formula (w.r.t anhydrous active substance) 0.7-1.1 Na2O. Al2O3. 1.3-3.3 SiO2, having Ca-bonding capacity 100-200 mg CaO/g.; (b 2) 0.3-3 pts. wt. P-free wash-alkalies and (b 3) 0.1-2 pts. wt. organic complex-formers, esp. for alkaline earth ions, consisting of alkali salts of P-free polymeric polycarboxylic acids or phosphonic acids. Washing power of the detergent compsn. approaches that of top phosphate prods.
