In the case of a flat-cable connecting device having a plurality of connecting contacts (5) which are supported in an insulating material body and comprise plug sockets and plug pins, said connecting contacts (5) in each case have at least three contact fingers (12, 13, 14) which extend approximately parallel to one another and are arranged offset with respect to one another, at a distance from one another and in the longitudinal direction of a conductor (10), which is to be connected, of specific diameter of the flat cable [sic]. After puncturing the insulation (11) surrounding the conductor (10), said contact fingers come into contact with said conductor (10). In order to ensure perfect contact-making between the connecting contacts (5) and the conductors (10) of the flat cable, particularly in the case of mechanical, thermal, or electrical stress over a relatively long period, each connecting contact (5) has a construction and arrangement of the contact fingers (12, 13, 14) such that they place the conductor (10) under prestress locally during pressing in by zig zag-like elastic deformation. <IMAGE> |
