PURPOSE:To make it possible to manufacture molded articles of various thicknesses without changing a die, by laminating plural channel-forming blocks on a die outlet of an extruder crosshad to form a tapered channel communicating with the outlet. CONSTITUTION:Plural stud bolts 11 are provided at the end of the outlet 2 of the die 1 containing the nipple 8. The plural channel-forming blocks 3 are laminated and fastened by the bolts 11. The tapered channel 4 of a molten resin communicating with the die outlet 2 is formed in the center of the blocks 3. A continuous article, e.g. a core pipe, is extrusion-coated with a molten resin to give an article having a skin thickness (t) of the formula t=(R2-r)/2 (R2 is the inside diameter of the channel outlet; r is the outside diameter of the continuous article) can be extruded, and the thickness (t) can be increased to the value of the formula t= (R1-r)/2 (R1 is the inside diameter of the channel inlet) by removing the blocks 3 from outside one after another. |
