The process, applied in the case of flowable products such as, for example, paints, ointments, gels, fruit juices etc., provides for starting, in a working step which is continuous throughout, first with venting and subsequently with simultaneous further venting and classifying. The venting can here take place in a plurality of stages, while the classification takes place during the last venting. This process can readily be carried out in an apparatus with a vessel (2) which contains both a venting device (5) and a classifying device (6). This makes it possible to carry out a comparatively rapid, simple processing of the products by classifying and venting, these two processing steps virtually merging into one another in an uninterrupted working sequence, avoiding transfer measures between these steps. <IMAGE>
