In the telescopic umbrella stick of automatic collapsible umbrella, a safety device is prepared at the bottom side of the umbrella stick to prevent the extension of the stick without notice when the umbrella is carried. The safety device comprises a push botton(19), a sliding member(20) and compression spring(5). The sliding member, pressed by the compression spring, holds the push botton not to be pushed by the unexpected force acting on the push botton.
