PURPOSE:To decrease the number of component parts and at the same time simplify the production of a quartz oscillator, by putting a glass case into a quartz oscillator and then melting the opening part of the case to fix a lead terminal simultaneously with the sealing of the case opening part. CONSTITUTION:A quartz oscillator bar 1 is soldered or adhered to a pair of termials 2 that serves also as a support bar and an electrode terminal. Then the oscillator 1 supported by the terminal 2 is put into a glass tube 6 with its one end closed, and the opening part of the tube 6 is melted while drawing a vacuum from the opening part. Thus sealing is carried out so that the terminal 2 pierces through the sealed part of the tube 6. As a result, the production of a plug and the sealing can be done in the same process, and furthermore the frequency of a quartz oscillator can be controlled by giving a laser trimming after sealing. |
