PURPOSE:To provide an oxygen concentration measuring body which reduces a power consumption, accelerates a responsing time, and improves durability, by a method wherein a heater housing part and an oxygen reference electrode, made of a metal- metalic oxide, are attached in an enclosure receptacle consisting of an oxygen ion conducting body made of a solid electrolyte sintered body. CONSTITUTION:In an enclosure receptacle 9 made of a solid electrolyte sintered body made of a stabilizing ZrO2 or ThO2 wherein 1 type or more oxides, made of a rare- earth element or an alkali-earth metal, are contained as a stabilizer, an oxygen reference electrode 10 is placed using a metal-metalic oxide such as Ni-Nio, Cu-Cu2O. A heater housing part 6 is located at the center part of the reference pole 10, a heater is placed therein, and lead wires 8a and 8b are connected thereto. Porous platinum electrodes 4a and 4b are mounted to an inner and an outer wall of a sintered body 9, respectively, and are connected to lead wires 5a and 5b. A lead-out part of each lead wire for the sintered body 9 is airtightly enclosed with a heat resisting and shock resisting ceramic sintered body with high density. A thermocouple TC is attached, and the sintered body is housed in a pipe 12. Gas containing O2 is implanted through the inlet of the pipe 12. This obtains an O2 concentration measuring body which is excellent in durability, compact, and steady. |
