PURPOSE:To prevent the deformation of a core slider floating plane of a magnetic head assembly and to withstand high speed run, by improving a back shape of the core slider and devising its supporting mechanism. CONSTITUTION:The back shape of a core slider 11 is made flat to avoid back grooves which has been adopted by conventional technology. The bonding between the core slider 11 and a gimbal 12 is made with the conventional technology, e.g., bonding. Thus, no excessive external force is exerted at assembling and the deformation of the slider floating plane is avoided. The thickness of the member is made thin by constituting the support of the gimbal as a gimbal 12' with grooves as shown in Fig. 5, and light weight is attained. The less the inductance is, the higher speed transfer of a magnetic disc can be made. |
