PURPOSE:To simplify circuit constitution and to improve reliability by providing a transformer with taps, and allowing one AC power source to supply turn-on energy, turn-off energy, and a negative bias voltage. CONSTITUTION:An AC rectangular wave voltage is applied across the primary winding n1 of a transformer 1, and the secondary winding n2 has a neutral point tap T0, intermediate taps T1 and T2, and taps T3 and T4 at both winding ends. A diode bridge 8 rectifies induced voltages at winding parts 2 and 3 to output a plus and a minus voltage to terminals 8a and 8b as turn-on energy 9 and a minus bias voltage 10, and diodes 6 and 7 rectify voltages induced at winding parts 2, 4, 3, and 5 to output a minus voltage having a large absolute value as turn-off energy 11. Consequently, the whole circuit constitution is simplified, the reliability is improved, and the size is reduced. |
