PURPOSE:To improve the cut-off characteristic and the process yield, by separating a cathode eyelet, cathode support and first grid electrode from the lateral body of electron gun lens then assembling in the independent process. CONSTITUTION:An auxiliary bead glass 35 is arranged perpendicularly with the electron beam axis then a cathode is inserted into a second construction lens where a first grid electrode 33 and a cathode eyelet 24 welded to a cathode supporter, thereafter the gap between the cathode 28 and the first grid electrode 33 is set with reference to the first grid electrode 33 while employing such value as the board thickness T2 and the gap B are subtracted from the tip section 31' of an air probe 31 and welded with a cathode eyelet 24. Thereafter the assembled second construction lens is matched to the first grid electrode auxiliary supporter 32 of the first construction lens through jigs or guide holes 32', 33' to adjust the gap B and to weld the tongue 33' of the first grid electrode 33 through the first grid electrode auxiliary support 32. |
