PURPOSE:To shorten the collation time, by approximating the collation at a rough rotation angle and obtaining next a rotation angle precisely in a seal impression collating device. CONSTITUTION:Registered picture data (b) is inputted to an image buffer 10, and picture data (a) to be collated is inputted to an image buffer 13, and picture data (a) is converted to low-resolution picture data (c) in a data converting part 17 and is stored in an image buffer 14. Data of the image buffer 14 is rotated at a rough rotation angle by a rotation controlling part 12 and is sent to an image buffer 15. Meanwhile, registered picture data (b) is converted to low- resolution registered picture data (d) by a data converting part 16, and the rough rotation angle is found in a coincidence detecting part 11. Thereafter, low-resolution data are switched to high-resolution data by selectors 19 and 20 to collate them with each other, thereby accelerating the convergence of trial and error. |
