PURPOSE:To reduce the number of times to be displayed of an obstacle, by separately providing a system indispensable to the start and the running of an internal combustion engine and another system irrelevent of the start and the running thereof to perform obstacle display and obstacle check while a self-diagnostic mode is changed over. CONSTITUTION:The diagnostic result in the self-diagnostic circuit 21 of a system which is indispensable to the start and the running of an internal combustion engine through a water temp. sensor 3 and the obstacle succeeding for a predetermined time due to a counter 29 are directly displayed by a display lamp 15. On the other hand, obstacle check due to sound hearing is performed corresponding to the diagnostic result of the self-diagnostic circuit of a system regardless of the start and the running of said engine through a full switch 9. The inferiority of the diagnostic result due to the circuit 34 is not usually displayed and displayed by the display lamp 15 through an AND gate 50, an integration timer 51 and an AND gate 14 only when the rotary number of the internal combustion engine reaches a predetermined value while the output of a comparator 49 is a high level and a mode change-over switch is closed. By this constitution, the number of times to be displayed of the obstacle are reduced and accurate self-diagnosis can be performed. |
