A transportable suspension device for down-hanging ladders in vertical shafts, for example manholes, has a horizontal rest 1 for the rungs of a ladder and two vertical rests 2 for the side pieces of the ladder. This horizontal rest is fixedly mounted on the middle of the front side of a crossbar, the crossbar 3 being designed to be placed partially over the frame of the manhole such that the rests are located above the opening of the manhole. In addition to this there are supporting arms 4, 5, 6 for bearing contact against a surface lying around the manhole, wholly or partially round about this. By means of pivot points 7, 8, these supporting arms 4, 5, 6 are designed to be collapsible with a view to transportation or opened out with a view to using the device. <IMAGE> |
