A desk is proposed which can be adapted to the different ergonomic requirements of children and adolescents and is distinguished by simple adjusting operations both in the height and in the inclination of the work surface. The work surface can be varied continuously in its inclination. This is possible due to the fact that the worktop is raised at the rear with the aid of a box which is variable in position via a crank drive, while, at the front, it remains resting on the support elements.
