A procedure for the control of line-switching of connections in a time-based multiplex telecommunication exchange where links are provided with an independent line facility which can connect to each other via a PCM-bus link by being allotted a time portal by the controlling computer. The line-switching of a connection generates, in the case of a signal with relatively normal communication signals, a corresponding high amplitude binary test pattern with a changing polarity bit for respective regular and irregular time phases within the communication's allotted time portal for each of the connections to be joined. The test pattern is given to the PCM bus throughout several time phases and is received by each one of these connections within the time portal allowed for reception. Each one of the connections emits an indication signal to the controlling computer as to whether a correct test pattern, within a given time, is received for a fixed number of consecutive time phases. If not, a failed signal is emitted.<IMAGE> |
