The invention relates to the energy supply for mobile transport devices via a cable line and/or a hose line which can be withdrawn from a block-and-tackle-like line store and retracted back into the latter by means of a return drive. The aim is the facilitated handling and operation, and the object is to achieve this by means of a simple variation of the tensile force. For this purpose, the fixed rollers (4; 5) are coupled via a step-down gearing (6, 7, 8) and the movable rollers (10; 11) are mounted in a frame (9) which is connected, via a tension cable (25), to a cable drum (24) which is connected on the one hand via a controllable induction coupling (23) to a motor (21) and on the other hand to a restraining brake (26). The line coupling piece (17) has control contacts which, during manual operation, by means of a terminating piece, serve to release the brake and apply a small tensile force. Switch-over devices (38) for the tensile force are arranged along the travel path of the frame (9). The invention can be used for mobile tool carriers (19) for machine tools. <IMAGE>
