PURPOSE:To prevent unexpected opening and closing of a cover by providing a stopper to prevents opening and closing of a cassette cover and its releasing device at the insertion opening. CONSTITUTION:Before inserting a cassette 12, a stopper 9 is discordant to a notch 10, and even when the cover is pushed, the cover collides against the stopper 9 and can not be pushed in further. When a cassette tape 12 is inserted, the end of the cassette tape 12 hits a projection 11, and the cover 3 is slid in the direction reverse to the arrow A. Consequently, the stopper 9 coincides with the notch 11, and the cover 3 is made free to rotate. The cassette tape 12 can be inserted as usual. However, to open the cover 3 by hand etc., it is necessary to slide the projection sideways. Thus, insertion of foreign matters due to mischief of a child can be prevented.
