A clamp device (1) having first and second body portions (10, 20) adapted for connection together, and having at least one fastener (50) adapted to fasten the body portions together. The clamp device has a locking member (61, 62) adapted to lock the fastener to at least one of the body portions. Typically the locking member locks the fastener to one of the body portions to create a hard joint between the fastener and the body portion, in which the fastener is tensioned to a high tension, and a soft joint between the first and second body portions, which is subjected to a lower tensions than the hard joint. |
