PURPOSE:To make it possible to instantaneously judge whether the new page after the resetting of paper is the beginning of a manuscript, by printing a printed matter discarding message when the absence of paper is detected and printing the content stored in an output buffer part from the beginning after the resetting of the paper. CONSTITUTION:When the absence of paper is detected by a paper absence detection part 9, a data analytical part 2 reads the printed matter discarding message of a prepared data table 6 from a character generator 7 by the output signal of said detection part 9 and inserts the same in the head of an output buffer part 3 to drive an output control part 4 to perform printing. The output buffer part 3 stores the content thereof without erasing the same until a page is finished to deliver data to the output control part 4 and, therefore, even if the absence of paper is detected on the way of the page, printing can be again performed from the beginning of the page when the paper is reset. The output buffer part 3 is a register shiftable to both left and right directions. |
