PURPOSE:To keep the diameter of filaments at a constant value, rapidly change over a collect and efficiently wind up the titled strand, by reducing the number of revolutions of the collet according to the roll diameter buildup of a cake of the strand winding collet. CONSTITUTION:A disklike turret head 4 is rotatably mounted on a face plate 3 vertically provided on a machine frame 2 through a sprocket 5, motor 6 with a speed reduction device, sprocket 7 and chain (7a) fixed on the back side thereof. On the other hand, two strand winding collets 8 are protrusively provided at the opposite positions in the diameter direction on the front side so that the collets 8 may be drivable by motors 10 respectively fixed on each collet 8. Molten glass or a synthetic resin in a raw material container 13 is drawn out from orifices 14 into filaments 15, which are then passed through a binder applicator 16 and collected by a collecting device 17. The resultant collected strand 18 is then wound into the collet 8 while traversed with a yarn guide 11 of a traversing device. The number of revolutions of the motor 10 is reduced stepless according to the roll diameter buildup of the cake. When the collet 8 becomes a full package, the turret head 4 is rotated clockwise 180 deg. through the motor 6 to wind the strand 18 onto a new collet 8. |
