<p>Process in which lower boiling prods. are obtd. from a hydrocarbon feed by (a) contacting it with fluidised solid contact material at high temp. in a riser, (b) sepg. spent contact material and stripping it of volatile hydrocarbons in a stripping zone, (c) regenerating stripped contact material by contact with O2-contg. gas in a regeneration zone, and (d) returning hot freshly regenerated contact material to the riser further includes 2 or more of the following: (i) suspending hot regenerated contact material in a carbonisable lift gas in the lower part of the riser and injecting hydrocarbon feed higher up in the riser; (ii) charging hydrocarbon feed into the base of the riser, steam cooling a part of the hot freshly regenerated contact material, and contacting the hydrocarbon feed with hot regenerated contact material upstream of the point where the feed is contacted with steam-cooled contact material; (ii) cooling a part of the hot freshly regenerated contact material before returning it to the riser; and (iv) adding a part of the freshly heated regenerated contact material to the stripping zone. The contact material pref. comprises a zeolite catalyst with acid sites.</p> |
