PURPOSE:To perform a comprehensive management for an error log by an O/S operating on a main processor, by transferring the error log collected by a RAS processor to a readable/writable external memory device by the main processor. CONSTITUTION:A RAS processor 1 starts to write the error log in a RAS processor memory 2 on a magnetic disk device 5 that is an external memory device using an external memory device write path 8. The physical address, and the seek address of the magnatic disk device 5 are set within a communication area 4, and a transfer is continued until all of the error logs are completed to write, or the data is written up to a data quantity designated by a transfer request word number 53 in the communication area 4. Thus, after completing the transfer of all of the error logs, the external memory device 5 is placed under a state possible to be read also by a main processor 3, and the main processor 3 couples the error log with the error log in the devices of a peripheral system collected by the main processor, and performs the comprehensive management for the error log.
