PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a ply yarn with significantly improved pilling resistance by reducing an amount of fluffs and restraining fluffs from drawing out from a knitted fabric, and to provide a knitted fabric using the ply yarn.SOLUTION: A ply yarn is obtained by twisting spun yarns containing 30 wt.% or more of staple fibers of synthetic fibers that have a multilobar cross section having 3 to 10 recessed portions and a degree of deformation of 1.5 to 3.0. The ply yarn has a total number of fluffs of 100 to 500 pieces per 15 cm of the ply yarn. The number of loop fluffs occupies a large proportion of the total number of fluffs and is 150 to 400 pieces per 15 cm of the ply yarn. The knitted fabric includes 50 wt.% or more of the ply yarn. |
