Device for wedging a spring blade (1) on a railway slipper (2), said spring blade (1) being part of a system for fixing a rail to a slipper, of the type comprising clamping means (3) passing through an opening (4) provided in the spring blade (1) by removal of material swarf (5) and of which the locking in the slipper (2) allows the spring blade to bear against the foot (6) of the rail (R), and blocking and bearing means for the rear heel (1R) of the spring blade (1) to the slipper (2), characterized in that said blocking and bearing means are comprised of vertical projections (2D, 2G) made in the mass of the slipper (2) and defining a housing (7) which receives said swarf (5) horizontally, and on which the rear heel (1R) of the spring blade comes in bearing contact.
