Mounting model of dental prosthesis in articulator - by device which allows positional adjustment of model

The plaster of Paris model of a patient's jaw and teeth is mounted in an articulator by meqn a ring (11). This ring (11) has a radial slot and holes for a tangentially aligned bolt, which enable it to grip a disc (16). This disc (16) has a slot which extends radially a short distance in two opposite directions from the disc centre. This slot receives a bolt (22) which engages a similar slot in a second disc (24) to which the model (26) is attached. The slots in the discs (16,24) enable the position of the model (26) to be adjusted in two horizontal directions at right angles to each other. USE - Prodn. of a dental prosthesis.
