1. A method of executing an original agent application on an endpoint machine as a virtual agent, the method comprising:
encapsulating an original agent in a container to produce a virtual agent; providing the virtual agent to the endpoint machine; executing the virtual agent, within the container, on the endpoint machine, fully controlling the virtual agent within the container by creating, by a virtual operating system included in the container, a logical separation between the operating system of the endpoint machine and the virtual agent processes; intercepting a request directed to a local operating system made by the virtual agent; obtaining information from the local operating system and information from a virtual datacenter; and providing a response to the virtual agent based on information obtained from at least one of: the local operating system, an associated virtual datacenter and an underlying physical machine; wherein the container is configured to monitor an execution of the virtual agent, detect a malfunction related to an execution of the virtual agent and perform at least one action in connection with the malfunction.
