<p>This device comprises an assembly of rotating display elements (1) with at least two faces of different colours arranged in rows and in columns, means of actuating the said rotating elements in rotation intended to bring about modification of the face of each rotating element appearing in the display and means of control of the means of actuation in order to ensure rotation of the said rotating elements so as to constitute an image to be displayed, the rotating elements (1) of each row or column being arranged on a common shaft (2) mounted rotatably in a frame of the device, each rotating element (1) being linked to the shaft by a friction coupling (3), a device for step-by-step driving in rotation associated with each shaft (2) and a retractable member (5) for locking the rotation of all of the rotating elements (1) of each column or row, an actuating device (7) being associated with each locking member. Each of the display elements (1) comprises a projection (11) extending beyond its outer surface and interacting with at least one stop (12) for limiting the rotational travel of the display element, and for definition of an initial position of the display element (1). <IMAGE></p> |
