The method trues the rotary movement of the cutting edge (9) of a saw blade (8) with central hole by generating tension at the outer edge. The blade is fixed in its holder, under tension if necessary. The movement of the edge is measured, it being then locally stretched dependent on the results. Measurement and stretching operations are then repeated until movement to the desired pattern is achieved. Stretching can be controlled by computer.
