The unit for finding hit-and-run vehicles comprises a sensing means for hitting detonator (9) by the vehicle impact on number plate (1), means for controlling the sensing means, a means for exploding sheet gunpowder case (13) detonated by the sensing-control means, a means for dispersing a number of miniature plates (20) by the exploding means. The unit comprises of a spring (7) for controlling action of the piston (4) in the circumference surface of a guide shaft, a piston (4) with groove (4a) to pass air or oil and to actuate by the impact of vehicles, a case (14) for storaging the miniature number plates.
