PURPOSE:To prevent a sudden drop of the cell voltage in storing at a high temperature, by applying a specific sulfide inserted with Cu beforehand as the positive electrode material, and composing a cell of such a positive electrode, a negative electrode mainly of Cu, and a Cu<+> ion conductive solid electrolyte. CONSTITUTION:As a positive electrode material for a solid electrolyte secondary cell with a negative electrode mainly of Cu, and a Cu<+> ion conductive solid electrolyte, a sulfide shown in the formula I, in which Cu is inserted beforehand, is applied. And the positive electrode material is made by feeding sulpher vapor gradually into a quartz glass container housing a mixture of metallic Cu powder, metallic Ti powder, and metallic Nb powder at a specific ratio, or alloy powder of Cu, Ti, and Nb, and then giving heat-reaction at 900 deg.C. Or, TiS2 powder, NbS2 powder, and Cu powder are mixed at a specific ratio to form into pellet styles, sealed in a quartz glass tube in vacuum, and then a heat-reaction is given. |
