The invention relates to a ruthenium compound and to a process for the preparation thereof, used as antitumoral agent. According to the invention, the compound has the general formula [RuCl(DMSO)(L)] x mDMSOxn HO wherein L is a quinolonic ligand selected from pipemidic acid (pip), enoxacine (enx), norfloxacine (nf), ciprofloxacine (cp), enrofloxacine (enro), ofloxacine (of) or levofloxacine (levof) and the values m and n differ depending on the ligand L. According to the invention, the process consists in dissolving the quinolonic ligand in dimethylsulfoxide, by adding anhydrous RuClor a corresponding amount of hydrated salt so that the metal ion:ligand:solvent ratio is 1:2;42, thereafter the resulting mixture is treated with a solution 2M of sodium chloride there resulting a brown precipitate which is filtered, washed and dries. |
