An apparatus for injecting slurry into the ground has a plurality of injection units each having an injector head 33 fed by a slurry feed pipe 32 and biased downwardly by a coil spring 41. The units are mounted on a chassis 11 which may be lowered and raised to bring the units into and out of contact with the ground. A pair of clamp members 42 disposed one on each side of the feed pipe 32 are controlled by a cable 47 to move relatively towards one another to pinch and close the pipe when the injection unit is raised out of contact with the ground and to move relatively away from one another to open the pipe when the injection unit is brought into contact with the ground. <IMAGE> |
