<p>A firearm having a toggle and bolt (50) assembly. The bolt (50) is reciprocal and houses a firing pin (78) connected to a driver (90) which is spring biased by the recoil springs (66, 66A). The firing pin (78) is independent of the bolt (50) and is engaged by a trip (88) and sear (190) mechanism when the weapon is initially cocked. The toggle mechanism is biased toward a bolt closed position by a handle spring (142). The ejector (150) and trigger (16) are held in place by pins (154, 156) in blind bores to prevent ready conversion to automatic firing.</p> |
