The present invention minimizes the influence of a display operation and exogenous noise on an operation for detecting an object on a screen that displays an image while ensuring sufficient time for the detection operation. This display device having a sensor is provided with a scanning drive unit (4) for repeating scanning to select a plurality of display scanning lines (G) in order in a first direction, and a data drive unit (5) for applying a voltage to a plurality of data lines (S). The display device having a sensor is furthermore provided with a detection control unit (30) for repeating scanning to drive a plurality of detection scanning lines (DRL) in order in a first direction and detecting the signal of a detection line (SNL). The detection control unit (30) can switch between a first operation and a second operation. In the first operation, the timing of a drive signal pulse is controlled on the basis of the timing of signal output to the data lines. In the second operation, a drive signal including a pulse of a frequency different from the frequency of the signal output to the data lines is outputted. |
