Lubrication system for vehicle automatic transmission

The lubricating device is eg. for a set of epicyclic gears in an automatic transmission for a vehicle. It consists of a piece of sheet metal (29) whose inner edge may be circular and whose outer edge may be a square shape with a pocket at each of the corners. The outer edge is fastened to the spider carrying the four planetary gears. The ends of the shafts for these gears are in the pockets and may dip into the oil collecting in the pockets. Oil may run out of the pockets through little oil channels (28).
