FIELD: manufacture of mattresses and framework springs. SUBSTANCE: apparatus for forming springs of wire and placing them into mattress includes winding unit and setting unit designed for compressing coil springs, placing them into pocket material and fixing them inside it. Apparatus includes framework, upper and lower feeding frames mounted on drive shafts, unit for wire trimming, unit for forming helix, mechanism for periodical circular feed of upper shaft, changeable gear wheels, unit for tensioning wire and unit of timing shaft.
