PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enhance the characteristics of a chip inductor for improving the reliability thereupon, by a method wherein two electrode parts and magnetic cores are fixed on the surface almost in parallel with the direction of the magnetic flux generated by the current convolute around a conductor. SOLUTION: Drum type or prismal magnetic cores 1 are fixed on the magnetic core mounting parts 3 of a lead frame 9. Later, one side of the lead frame 9 is cut off while the magnetic cores 1 are cantilevered by the other remaining side. Next, a magnet wire in a specific diameter is wound around the magnetic cores 1 mounted on the lead frame 9 in a specific frequency. In such a constitution, the magnetic cores 1 are arranged and fixed on the two electrode parts to be wound up with a conductor for electrically connecting the two electrode parts to the conductor. Furthermore, the two electrode parts and the magnetic cores 1 are fixed on the surface almost in parallel with the direction of the magnetic flux generated by the current convolute around the conductor.
