SOLUTION: A reproducing index (reproducing recording position information) 132 for managing the correspondence of a reproducing unit and time management data 121 is recorded in the area of respective reproducing management data 131. The range of the time management data 121 included in the reproducing unit is specified from the reproducing index 132, the range of moving image and sound data 111 to be decoded is specified based on the time management data 121 and the moving image and sound data 111 are read.
